Support for iOS 18/iPadOS 18/macOS Sequoia

Apple has released a few new features for Apple Notes on iOS 18/iPadOS 18/macOS Sequoia. Quotion now supports these new features.

1. Highlighted Text

This image showcases a dark-themed UI design with a focus on text highlighting. The 'Highlights' section demonstrates different text colors, including purple, pink, orange, mint, and blue, while a table lists 'Time Cook' as CEO and 'Craig Federighi' as VP. The overall mood is modern and clean, with a focus on readability and visual clarity.

You can highlight text with 5 predefined colors in your notes. Click the image above to see the converted page.

2. Math Notes, Smart Script (iPad 18), Image Wand (AI)

The image showcases a digital whiteboard with mathematical equations and a graph. The equation '15 + 129 = 144' is written in black and yellow, while the equation 'y = 3x' is also visible. A graph of the equation is also displayed, with a 'RECENTER' button.

Math Notes let you solve equations directly in your notes, making tasks like budgeting, splitting bills, or quick calculations easier. Similar to handwriting, math notes, smart scripts, and image wand features are converted to images on your Quotion site.

3. Audio Recording and Transcription

Quotion has supported audio recording for a while now. We're planning to redesign the audio player to include transcription features. Let us know if you'd like this feature! 🙏

4. Collapsible Sections

We’ve decided not to support Collapsible Sections , as it doesn't make sense for a web page.

MDX Components

Apple Notes itself is a little bit limited for a highly dynamic and feature-rich page. That's why we've built MDX components to overcome these restrictions.
Similar to HTML tags, you can use MDX components by writing the supported tags and attributes with any content.

1. CallToAction

This image showcases a webpage titled 'CallToActions' with code snippets demonstrating how to implement call-to-action buttons. The dark theme and clean design create a modern and professional mood. The page includes examples of different button styles and links, encouraging users to download, contact support, and try the service for free.

The quoted part is the component code, and the below part is the rendered result.
Call-to-action buttons allow you to add links or emails to your posts, which is handy for scenarios like announcing new features, creating contact pages, or download pages. Read the docs
We plan to add more components like Cards, Steps, Tabs, etc. Let us know if you need any specific components.

Blog Improvements

1. Table of Contents

The image showcases a dark-themed interface with a 'Bullet list' feature highlighted in the 'Formats' menu. The main subject is a text editor with a nested bulleted list, demonstrating the formatting options available. The overall mood is clean and modern, with a focus on user-friendly design.

We've enhanced the table of contents with a scroll indicator line to show progress. In the view table, items are highlighted, and clicking an item scrolls the page to center the heading in the viewport while adding a hash fragment to the URL.

2. Exit Preview Mode

The image showcases a website's header in preview mode, scheduled to publish on September 26, 2025, at 6:54:51 PM. The header features the title 'Dev,' navigation links for 'Home' and 'Product,' and call-to-action buttons like 'Get in touch' and 'Try it free.' The overall design is clean and modern, with a purple color scheme.

You can manually exit preview mode by clicking the ExitExit button on the banner.

3. Fixed Long Note Title Get Truncated

Dashboard Improvements

1. SEO Meta for Home Page

The image showcases the SEO settings for a blog post titled 'From Concept to Code: The Journey of Product Development with Our SaaS Dream Team.' The interface allows users to customize the meta title and description for the post. The overall mood is professional and informative, with a focus on content optimization.

By default, Quotion uses your site hero to generate SEO meta title and description for your home page. Now, you can customize the meta title and description to better suit your needs.
Note: For posts, you can use SEO meta frontmatter to customize them.

2. Quotion Badge Control

The image showcases the backend settings of a website, specifically the 'Quotion Badge' feature. The interface allows users to enable the badge and customize its link. The website's blog post, titled 'From Concept to Code: The Journey of Product Development with Our SaaS Dream Team,' is visible on the right side of the screen.

By default, the Quotion badge is hidden for Lite+ customers. If you've joined the Quotion Partner Program, you can enable it and use your affiliate link. Unlike the free plan badge, which is fixed at the bottom of the browser, this badge is placed at the bottom of the page, making it less distracting.
